to the New York Fern Club Open to the public. There is no charge to attend this program-tell the entrance guard that you are attending the fern club meeting Emily Kaplan, coordinator of Wildmetro's
initative to survey and protect the ferns of NYC, will lead a discussion
which will be illustrated with beautiful fern photos and GIS maps of current
and historic fern distribution in the city. Emily will also describe how
volunteers can help with field work and administrative aspects of the
project. David Burg, president of WildMetro, will introduce the program.
NYBG fern expert Michael Sundue will give a brief history and GIS volunteers
Murray Lantner and Roman Koulikov will show how the maps are created.
Bring a lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. |
